Anybody seen any marked Bluebills this spring yet?

Postby h2ofwlr » Wed Apr 13, 2005 7:13 am

They(USFWS) marked a bunch in January in the deep south. They are studying them in hopes to better understand their migration patterns. I've seen a bunches of bills, but no colored ones.

SP, I think they have painted wings or heads, bright red or something, I remember reading about it 3 months back but the details escape me.

I saw a pic of a bluebill with its bill with a marked blue tag attached to it or something like that, looks like it would be annoying but I guess theyre gonna have to suffer with it on. I have not seen any yet but alot of ringnecks, bills, mallards, some canvasbacks
