Chain link verses predator

Postby goodfolks » Thu Nov 13, 2008 10:53 pm

I’m seriously considering fencing my entire 40 acres with a six foot high commercial grade chain link fence tight to the grounds. In hopes to provide a more secure environment for the nesting ducks and upland birds like pheasant. The property is bordered with city lots on the north boundary. The purpose would be to keep out domestic pets like dogs, All terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, and native predators like fox and coyotes. Any one have any thoughts on the idea. Its hard for me to keep and eye on it because I live in California and the properties in Minnesota.
