Curls on a mallard

Postby Zachary Bounds » Sat Feb 21, 2009 9:30 am

What determines the number of curls on a mallard tail? Is it the age of the duck?

No. First year birds can have 1-4 curls, its a genetic thing.

Curls are not an indication of age. Some have more, some have less, it's genetic like Rick said.
