I have a Charles Daly, 31/2 inc, with a 28inch barrell and i was wondering a good all around goose hunting load?

Steel : BB or BBB at 1550fps or if you have enough $$$
Hevi-shot: # 2 Rolls em over & puts em down hard.
You can go BIGGER in the pellet size if you want;however you will loose pellet count and DENSE patterns! Note: at 30 yards aim at the tip of their nose.

I shoot a 12 gauge 3 in. and use 2 shot kent if there decoying well or bb if I need to shoot a little farther (or if thats all I have) I personally have never shot hevi shot but Im sure its good. Ive also never had a problem killing geese with steel. just something ot think about.

When ducks and geese are on the menu I shoot 3 and half 1's. When its geese alone, I might step up to BB's, but often I just shoot the 1's.

early in the year i will shoot some 3 1/2" #2 winchester supreme, then i'll switch to hevi shot as they get more and more feathers
