Shells and Silo's

Postby goosecaller » Thu Oct 20, 2005 7:25 am

I have been hunting over full bodies since I started hunting. But recently I have seen a lot of guys in the feild hunting over shells and silo's, and they seem to be doing alright. For the price, do you guys think that the full bodies are worth it. I mean, these things are starting to get expensive to replace. Late season geese usually take a lot of decoys to draw in the birds. What do you think?

NO They are not worth the money. Use some flags or other type of motion. I have 18 shells and 4 dozen silos and my buddy had 24 shells and silos and they make dead geese too.

Shells and silos work just fine...try finding seconds from a silo company and painting them up. Takes a little work but are really cheap doing it that way.

I'm with Cupped-n-Committed ! I use the shells and silos. Don't have room anywhere in my home for full bodies .. let a lone in a car!

Thell kill geese just as well as full bodies.

Here is one of my fields from last year.... Nothing but shells and silos !
Only three geese but had to leave the field early.
