layoutblind for big guys

Postby bandedcoot » Mon Oct 31, 2011 3:21 pm

Help me please! I own 3 layout blinds and none fit me or should i say i fit in them. Finisher,Power Hunter, forgot the otherr ones name. The finisher is long enough but not wide enough at the shoulders, I have to hold the doors shut and call with my hands at the same time. This is not easy when calling geese! calling ducks no big deal . Power hu nter wasnt long enough so i cut a slit across the bottom and stick my boots out. And thepower hunter wont let me shut the lid down far enough so that i feel concealed.I'am 6'4" tall and 350lbs about 28" across the shoulders. I have given up field hunting because of not being hidden well enough and dont wont to spoil a hunt for my budies because of this. I have tried a mat and a shell ,but not very good way to stay dry or warm! Any help would be appreciated i gotta get out there and hunt!

Yeah we had a buddy with one of them and if you cant fit in that I dont know what to tell you.. We did not care for the high profile so we cut it down so that it was more like a HUGE elimnator expres.s.

I have the Rogers Goosebuster XL and the Cabelas Ultimate
The XL fits me 6` 200lbs and a big yellow moose of a huntin buddy :)
Check the reviews a guy says he`s 6`2" 265lbs and has room to spare.

The Ultimate is great for hunting in water but more cramped.

this is the biggest one that ive ever seen/hunted out of. I own one. Got it through a trade. I wont hunt out of it cause its too big for me. Used it twice last year and flared geese because i had too much room inside to move around. ..Im 6ft 220lbs. Its not cheep, but it sounds like it would fit you. where are you located, cause i have been thinkin of sellin it, but dont wanna ship it. It dosent fold up though. only folds flat, so that is another issure for me.

I have the Tanglefree Dead Zone, I have yet to hunt out of it, but I spent time early this fall working with the dog in his blind.
I am 6 ft. 280+ lbs. I have a 54" chest, and I fit in it comfortably.

Hope this helps,
