Tomorrow will be the first time I try my hand at goose hunting. Have been seeing them like crazy and have a spot that gets traffic. I have a layout blind, 24 super mag goose shells, 6 floaters that I might put on the little 12' X 12' puddle that is out there, goose flag and cheap Primos short reed goose call ( I think I am terrible at it but will give it a shot).
I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice, this being my first time and I am going out solo. I have heard to not over work the flag and if the geese aren't honking then to pretty much keep quiet on the call. I was planning on putting out my deeks with about 4 big steps between each one. Other than all that I have ablsolutely no idea what I am doing haha.
If nothing else I guess it might be a relaxing Satuday staring at the sky. Any advice would be great. Thanks
I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that don't work.
