Goose decoying?

Postby david95 » Mon Dec 03, 2012 8:19 am

This will be the first time trying to shoot geese, I was scouting yesterday evening an they are coming right over the tree tops so what I'm asking is if I could get them lower to shoot? Not to familiar with it yet. Thanks!

In a nutshell, you are pass shooting them, correct? If so, you are going to burn that place to the ground very quickly cause the first volley will give the leftover a reason to ride higher with oxygen mask the next time they get close to tree line. If this is your only chance, have a few decoys 50-100 yrds from the trees and call very seldom if you can call.

Goose decoying?

Yeah it would be pass shooting at them. Their is a small island about 400 yard off the tree line so I figure I could throw my decoys around it and hopefully they'll come close enough. Thank you!
