Help!

Postby Blake1403 » Wed Aug 28, 2013 12:38 pm

Sunday is opener for early goose in MN. We got a hay field that wa just cut and will be bailed before we can hunt it. Would you use layouts (and how would you hide them) or would you just set up on the edge and hide in the corn field next to it? The hay will be like grass almost. We have never hunted anything like this so a tip or 2 would be awesome. Thanks

Hunt in the corn and keep your dekes as close to where you have been seeing the birds as possible you'll be fine just don't hug the dekes against the corn keep them off the corn at least 10 yrds whatever you think looks natural. Good Luck!

Hide in the corn and set up for a crossing shot if possible.

Alright thanks. We're gonna set up on the edge in the corn field. I think we got it figured out now. Thanks for the advice and good luck!
