Floater and Full Body Spread

Postby cackiller » Sat Oct 26, 2013 10:56 pm

So we don't often have the opportunity to run floaters and full bodies at the same time where I hunt normally its either or, however after scouting today I found a spot on my land where the water is so low there were several clumps of grass birds were sitting on as well as feeding in the water.

Just curious if anyone had any tips in particular to mixing full bodies and floaters or any pictures of your mixed spreads? Right now i'm planning on doing my best to mimic how the birds were sitting on the small islands

like you said just try to mimic what you see resters and sleepers would probably be a big one for me feeders in the water floaters maybe in one section that is deeper or to make it seem deeper

I had the same question.just got permission yesterday on a low area with a partially dried up pond.
I watched it today for an hour and some geese landed and a few went into the water and a bunch just walked around the edge and a few napped.I'm going to mimick what I saw

Will post up results in a few weeks
