Mixing snows and honkers

Postby Stish85 » Thu Oct 31, 2013 6:39 pm

Hey all,

I was just wondering how you feel about mixing a dozen or 2 snows with my honker spread. I am mainly targeting honkers, however on trips to ND it would be nice to have a better chance at decoying some of the smaller flocks.

Is this worth it?

How will it affect honkers coming in?

How would you set them up in the spread?

If you are seeing snows in the field with the canadas when scouting then it's a great idea. Hell I've even ran snows in my spread here in Indiana when I knew there weren't any snows around just for visibility and it worked great I think up there it would be a good idea.

In Kansas Big honkers will avoid a spread with snows. However little Canadas will decoy to them readily.
