Geese movement

Postby dannin » Tue Nov 12, 2013 12:47 am

Are there other situations, other than a full moon, that will have geese out feeding all nite and returning to roost in the morning?

Pressure and light pollution. Our town geese will feed after dark quite often in fields on the outskirts of city limits.

In my area its pretty rare. In the early season they may stay out until its almost pitch black out but not common.

cold weather fronts moving in will sometimes do that. Combine that with a full moon and sometimes it makes for a loooong morning.
