Jalepeno Jelly Recipe??

Postby whistlin_wings » Wed Jan 12, 2011 10:50 am

Anyone have a good jalepeno jelly recipe? Tired of searching at markets and what not for one I like and then not finding it again.

I appreciate it Inda, was assuming you'd be one of the few people knowing what I was talking about. Don't even think them northerners know what a jalepeno is. But it's one of the best things you can put on an egg, bagel or english muffin, melted cheese, and a thick slice of ham.

we are lucky in kansas. Jelly is super easy to come by here, especially with a large amish population in a few of the different counties. We can get all different kinds pepper, jalepeno, any specialty jelly you would want.

Sometimes we take whichever kind of hot pepper jelly we want, some cream cheese and crackers. Nothing better than sweet, hot, salty, and rich all together!

It's not so much an issue of finding it here as it is finding the one you like repeatedly. I could order it but for the most part if you want it you have to go to fairs and trade days to find the homemade stuff. The store brand stuff never really quite did it for me.

Jalepeno Jelly Recipe??

Hey now! Just what do you think we do up here when it's assnumbing cold outside all winter? Drink and cook, you think we just eat our cornbread with butter? Hell no, it's got jalepno jelly on it I just buy it, never made it but make lots of other jellies, seems like it woul just be chunked pepper, sugar and pectin. Maybe a some kind of fruit like apricot would compliment it.....got me thinking now
Buy it, use it, break it, fix it,
Trash it, change it, mail - upgrade it,
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it,
Snap it, work it, quick - erase it,
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it,
Load it, check it, quick - rewrite it,
Plug it, play it, burn it

Anybody got anything for this? I'd be interested in a recipe too. The only good jalapeno jelly I've found is at farmers markets and things like that.

Here you go peeps:

You can tone down the heat by adjusting the amount of jalapenos and leave out the habeneros
