I heard that marinating duck and geese in 7up soda overnight helps get rid of the earthy taste of the meat. ( i personally love the taste of both) Has anyone tried this before?

stick a open can of beer up the jacksee of your duck when roasting BBQing to keep it moist.
Ive heard of cooking in milk to do the same thing with taste for swans.

I have soaked duck breast in coke before. I would think 7up would be similar. don't do it over night. I made that mistake and ended up eating what tasted like fried coca cola.

I add 7-up to my sauce piquant. The carbonic acid helps to tenderize the meat and the sweet lemon helps the flavor of the stew.

This trick does work. But salt water with a little baking soda works better. The 7up trick is pretty good when making your duck with a fruity recipe like orange duck. Use salt water for roasted duck and such

We boil our duck in 7 up for a couple of minutes before we grill it. It helps keep it moist and is very tasty.
