Goose Jerky question?

Postby aftershox454 » Mon Apr 28, 2008 1:13 pm

I was looking to make some more goose jerky and I need some hints.

So far I have sliced it nice and thin and ran it through the smoker and it was goooood!!

however I heard that you can grind it up and shoot it out of some gun and it's even better!!

I've had deer jerky made this way and I really liked it, but i didn't know if you could do it that way with goose or not?

if you can where do I get the thing that looks like a caulk gun
and how should I go about doing it? :help:

Never done goose jerky, or even shot a goose (it's my first season). I don't see why you couldn't do it the same way. Meat is meat, you'll just have to find some seasonings and marinades for it. As for the gun, you can find them at Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, or Gander Mtn. You might even find some premade seasonings as well.
