help converting a small boat into a layout boat

Postby redman6973 » Thu Oct 27, 2005 9:49 am

I have a small boat (10 feet long and 48 inches wide) that I am thinking of converting into a layout boat. I hunt a lot of shallow marshes and impoundments with low short vegitation, so I figure the best way to hide is to have a low profile. Have any of you guys tried to convert a small boat into a layout boat? If so, what materials did you use, how did you camoflaged it, and how did you make it comfortable to hunt from?
So many ducks, so little time.

Wire or staple grassing straps to you skiff. Lay as flat as you can and don't move around too much. Just remain as still as you can and you'll be OK.
