Time for an update. I have been working on the trailer, blind and the boat. I've had to grind all of the rust off of the trailer so I had to take it all apart. I had to replace u-bolts (which I had a hard time finding). After getting everything off and grinding, I have it primed ready to paint. The blind had to have all of the hardware replaced. The original hardware was rusted so that caused corrosion around them on the blind so I had to sand those areas down, replace the hardware with stainless, prime and re-painted the entire blind. I got my stencils from Styx River so I got the boat camo'd out. Not quite done with it yet but figured it was time to take some pics and post em up. Tell me what you think.

oh yeah. Me to. Thanks for the replies guys. I wasn't real impressed with it until I did the highlighting and shadows. I'm real happy with it now. Much much better than my last boat.

It's aluminum. It didn't really rust but it did corrode a little around the hardware. The hardware is what rusted which caused a little corrosion.

Just made a door out of some aluminum I had and got a latch from Cabelas. It blends in so well I'm surprised you even saw it. It's hard to tell it's there standing in front of it let alone a picture.

Had a huge set back tonight. I put the windblocker on the blind frame and then put the blind material on. I went to adjust it and it ripped right along the velcro. Ripped so bad it made it unusable and had to throw it all away. The material is too old and rotted apparently. I have only had it about 6 months but bought the whole quickset and material from an individual. Nice of him to tell me how bad it was   At least I still have the frame and windblocker. Now I just had to come off $200 for a new quickset camo. Man, that's gonna hurt.

On a brighter side, I have the trailer painted. Still have to replace the hubs though. Gotta get the boat wired but that is gonna have to take a back seat now for a bit. I will update with some pics.

I got the bunks complete on the trailer, new jack, new LED lights with side markers and new wiring. I still have to get new wheels and hubs yet. Got the new camo on the blind and got one side of the grass on. I ran out not thinking it would take more than one package. Lots of progress as of late. Let me know what you think.

i was gonna suggest that you open up that front storage hole some...I had a small from storage opening with a hatch that I ended up taking the angel grinder to. Widened out the hole and cut out the hatch.

I just got frusterated when trying to dig anything out of that small opening...but it might work for you

I decided after the first season to alter the front storage opening

It's hard to tell after the camo and with the door but it's got a pretty good opening and you can reach in there with no problems. I do appreciate the tip though.

Boat looks great! I was wondering what kind of camo netting you used? I've got the military netting and was thinking of switching it out for something lighter.

I used the Avery Killer Weed blind kit that Macks sells. Works real well. I also cut strips of burlap and added to it.
