Postby AlaskaRedneK » Tue Mar 07, 2006 6:22 pm

Hey all.

Im prolly gunna start building a new jon boat this spring/summer.

I will be makin it out of alluminum... so if any of you could post up some piks of the "joints", crossmember, or even yer whole boat that would be kool.

Also, if you have any ideas/ suggestions that would also be appreciated.

BTW- I will be welding it so pictures yer commercially made boats will help too.

Thanks :salude:

Yeller I bet you any-amount of money that my brother welded ur boat up :tounge: so I would watch out it might fall apart :toofunny:

AR, any specific areas of the bow you want me to take pictures of? Or anywhere else?

greenster, that may explain why I have a cracked weld where the red circle is...

It's only a small weld for the seat, so I haven't even had it repaired. Seriously, the welds on this boat are nice. Most have that "roll of quarters" look to them.

I think fer right now thats all the piks i need... BUT, what are the dimentions of yer boat... I like that layout.. I just will make mine a hair on the smaller side. Dont need all that space, just more weight for what im gunna do

And that perfect bead.... gotta luv it :salude:
