My group will be upgrading to a 2472 before next season, hopefully. Sometimes we hunt with 5 guys, 2 of us 180-190lbs, 260lbs, 280lbs, 320lbs. Add in 1-2 dogs, hardside blind, spread of up to 200 duck and goose floaters (not normally though), electronics/motion decoys, cookware, cooler, blind bags, guns...etc....you're looking at a lot of weight. The SeaArk 1860 we use right now can barely do it, takes 2 trips if we bring as much stuff as listed above, but another issue is if the wind is more than 13-14mph out of the SW at the area we hunt the most, a semi V aluminum 18 footer isn't enough boat to handle those conditions. Also don't have the luxury of driving into the waves at a preferred angle, have to stay in the channel to avoid hitting shallow water obstacles.
