Where did you get all the materials for the boat blind? I like the design a lot just wondering if you had more pictures to help get a better understanding.

local boat supply stores sell the bimini hw. it's just 3/4" conduit from home depot that was bent to the shape of the hull. sorry dont have any more pics... cant snap any either. there's 10" of snow on the boat cover

Boat looks great, wish I had one like it. Your GSP's are awesome. If I ever get a pup for waterfowling it will be the GSP.

everything worked out great. thumbs up to the 'timber brown' avery grass mats. much better color than the original. the axle on the trailer snapped on the way to the boat ramp in -4* weather... sparks and all. it has since been replaced with a new trailer. parts for the old one were just as much as a new trailer.

WVClays, if you ever want info on one, PM me. my black dog is actually siring a litter this spring.

Excellent what fun!

Years ago I would get all kinds of looks, comments and laughs at the ramp with GSP. Now I don't even hear a word except "is that a shorthair".

My 6yo Braque Francais with custom fit -used to be sized for a fat Labrador- Avery vest. For all intents and purposes he is very much like a GSP, only a little smaller.

He scored a perfect 112 in his NAVHDA natural ability test, but I have not pursued rigorous training for UT1 or UT2...

Great dog for finding birds that sail out of sight. A little too much energy in the blind or boat as he really wants to run, but manageable. Bought him as an upland dog, but have way more duck hunting opportunity here in Delaware.

His lower limit on swimming is about 20-25 degrees. Below that he wont fetch from the water.

Backwoods landing for the gun/rod box. Here's the link - http://www.backwoodslanding.com/options.html
shipping wasn't all that bad either.

The dogs make things a heck of a lot more enjoyable for me. training through the summer is a good way for me to keep my arse in shape, the dogs also... and then i get to shoot all year :)

remember its not a PERFECT score, its a MAXIMUM score! 4's are 76% or better!

Sandor I know the breed.
Never had my GSP not go, if anything, I don't send them due to to much ice or strong current. Its a discussion that will go on for ever, many different views.
I don't test any longer, just train for a great hunting companion and family dog now a days, thats all the prize we need!

Have always made sure when they are young to duck hunt where I can get them out and walk some, they just learn to chill out after a while and repetitive hunting. I hunt 3 different boats yearly not including other buddies, they just learn each boat, their spot and such.
6 is a great age!
