open water boat help

Postby gawaterfowler » Sat Sep 07, 2013 8:35 am

Hey guys I'm in the market for an open water duck boat. By that I mean to hunt large lakes and river and to use it as a transport from camp to walk in areas. I am thinking 16-17 foot? Also does anyone have experience with converting like a bass tracker style boat to a duck boat? If so what do you like and dislike? I have my eye on a local Lowe 16' 10" boat that's all aluminum with a small side console but it only has a 25 HP motor. Is that enough? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here is kind of an idea you can never have enough room in a layout tender boat!
