Raffia Grass amount????

Postby Lewisd » Sun Oct 06, 2013 1:08 pm

I'm looking to camo a 14' skiff with raffia grass, and was wondering if y'all new about how much I'll need in order to properly camo this length boat.
Thanks

This comes up quite often use the "Search this thread" and type in raffia and you will find others recomendations on how much and where "JmStern" to get it from.

You could get away with 20 lbs to cover it at a minimum. I used about 28lbs on my 17' jon.

15 lbs should work just fine, did my 18ft beavertail blind top and sides thick and still have half a box (saving it for when some falls off in the slough)

Use Joseph stern company.

And I grassed a 14' scissor blind on a 18' gator trax with about 18lbs & this included a section of the top & a motor cover.

Oh but j. stern has a 25lb minimum. Just keep it for your boat. In fact I ordered about 35lbs that way I have enough for 2 blinds & won't have to repay shipping in future.
