Osagian (Osage Now) Cargo Canoe

Postby Ned S » Wed Jan 17, 2007 2:32 pm

I gave my 16 ft extra wide Lowe with 40 Hp Evinrude to my Pastor Son in Bartlesville, Ok. It had a homemade pop up blind on it. I now use my 17 ft cargo canoe. This canoe is very stable and will not roll over. I could pull my two Labs into the canoe on the side simultaneously with out it taking water or rolling over. Rather than make a blind for it I put 8 1x2's in the mud or sand around it tapered in and then drape my camo around it. If I need to I can remove the back flap and hang it on the side and back out without distrurbing the blind otherwise. So far I am able to keep up with the go devils. I have two duck billed push polls. Early in the season I just run it into the cattails and then pull them back over the canoe. Ned S the young 78 yr old.
