I am interested in a 14-15' aluminum boat. Academy sells some for pretty cheap. Anyone have experience with these?

You mean the welded boat like this? http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=c ... 00124-1542

If so, it's so cheap cuz I'm almost positive it's not welded. It's a plain riveted alumcraft jon. I think the cheapest welded you can probably get is the Grizzly by Tracker, guys seem to like them alot.

Alumacraft makes a good boat. A buddy of mine has a 27 year old 16' mod-v Alumacraft that we hunt out of when I don't feel like pulling the War Eagle. Most likely the ones they are selling at Academy are riveted, but so is my buddy's and his doesn't leak a drop of water.
