What boat should i get?

What boat should i get?

im getting a boat in march, what do you guys recomend. the boat would have to be around 16' and be able to be used on the sea as well as bays. im thinking a G3 or crestline. any ideas? thanks.

I have had real good luck with Xpress hulls and thats what I currently run but several co-workers have War Eagle boat and I have not heard them complain.

from what i can tell, the war eagle would not handle well in open water due tot he low walls.

I've had my G3 out in some nasty waves and it did pretty good. You definately want high sides and transom. If you just buy the hull and put all the stuff you want in yourself you'll save a ton of money. Also, look into SeaArks. They are super nice, and built really well.

talked to a few dealers today. one used to sell G3's and lunds but strongly recomends the Wareagle 754. thats probbably what im going with, its highly customizable and is super dependant

I got the Xpress and it is great! I would have got the War Eagle if buying new but got the Xpress for a song used.

Boat Recommendation

I have the 1756 Crestline and really like it. I don't know how rough of a seas your planning on, but my double V hull handles a rough lake pretty good. I would imagine most other similar boats would do the same.

If I'm going into 3-4 ft seas then it's time for my 24 Ft Sports Craft.
