Title transfer question

Postby A-Team » Wed Nov 06, 2013 5:20 pm

Looking at a boat. Current owner has bill of sale for boat , motor and the trailer. Data plates still on all three. But originally titled in Louisiana. Me and current owner live in TX.
Question is how hard is it to get everything transfered to me and to a TX title so I can take it on public water.
Any help would be great.

State dmv. and wild life are going to be your best resources. Lots of states vary.

In NC, it is very simple. Literally just one sheet of paper. However, in your state that could be completely different. Contact the Wildlife service.
