Preferred type of prop/skeg protection?

Postby chriseyedoc » Sat Nov 16, 2013 8:35 pm

Wondering what you think is the best protection for props?
I have an old 5.5 hp Evinrude. Did a fine job of damaging the prop this AM.
Also, I may get a new motor while I am at it. Suggestions for HP on a 14 ft aluminum duck/fishing boat?

Just don't hit stuff and carry a spare.

Macs river runner is a good protector.

Get a steel one, the aluminum ones I have used had the welds consistently break.
