1650 Flat Boat Build

Postby JustinJ » Thu Dec 19, 2013 8:06 am

I built this boat for a good freind this past summer.
It's a 1650, 1 piece all 1/8" hull, with a full weld in floor or double bottom.
Extended front deck with dry storage, as well as a bulkhead poored with flotation foam.
Lockable rod box with rod tubes that will fit 8' rods.
Rear split bench with dry storage and live well.
4" cat walk gunwals
Trolling motor braket.

Put a 50 Merc 2 stroke on a jack plate. Boat was running 34 to 35 when I turned it over, but the owner was going to play around with the props some.

Guy in Carencro La who does custom Camo paint work painted the hull for me, and did an outstanding job.

That hull came to $4500. I didn't do the paint, I believe he paid 1k for the paint job. And if I remember the total on the rigging came to another $500 or $600
