Electric start mud motor .

My buddy just got a 13hp honda beavertail it has electric start but we cant figure out how to hook up the battery without melting the cables only have donr this once but once is enough. If some body could please help us with this or post a picture of how it hooks uo that would be awesome thanks in advance yall.

what size wire are you using?

Hook postive cable on battery to back of starter-should be a rubber covered bolt terminal coming off the back. Negative to ground on motor and negative on battery. Buy some cheap jumper cables and cut the ends off, they are cheap and pliable.
