Engine Painting

Postby PAwaterfowldominator » Fri Jul 04, 2014 3:20 pm

I'd like to have my engine painted to match my boat. What are my best options here? Has anyone done this themselves?

Outboard or mud motor? I think you will need some good high temp paint on an exposed engine case for a mud motor. I use parker or hunter specialties in a spray gun on a fiberglass outboard hood. Clean it real well will with alcohol before painting.
OTHER OPTIONS are the camo wraps. Ive only seen them on boats, never tried them. Personally I don't like the very minimal glare the put off either.
