Short tail mud motors, including the MudBuddy HyperDrive, are a great combination of shallow water / weed / mud motor and outboard-type performance. They run much faster and are easier to drive than conventional longtail mud motors.

I own a 35 Mag HyperDrive for my big 1854 boat but have also owned and run 29 and 31 HP Hypers on this same hull and others. It has changed the way we hunt due to access just about anywhere and anytime. I would never go back to a standard prop outboard.
