B.B.B. Building Boat Blinds

Postby Gooseboy » Wed Jun 08, 2005 3:00 pm

Post up how you built your boat blind. I have not done it yet but i have an idea on how to make an easy portable boat blind. Get 4 metal stakes, bieng about 6 feet higher than the water you are hunting in, get some camoflauge material and a boat . Then your out on your boat in the morning, you find a good spot stop the boat and put two of the metal stakes ont the starboard part of the boat apart from eachother at about the length of your boat (in my case 16 feet), do the same thing one the port side of the boat. Then take your camo material and attatch it on to make a roof from the back stakes to the front ones if its a solid material i think make a hole in it, and shove a zip tie through the hole, the zip tie it to all the poles, then in the front put about three feet of camo material from one front post to the other, once again i would zip tie it.

I think the poles should fit easily into the mud. Tell me what you think.

Sounds pretty good. I think I would just put it around the outside, though and maybe just make the back a little higher up and leaning over the boat a little.
If the hunting is cold, luckily so is the beer!
