Where Can i get a boat!

Postby pieps57 » Mon Jul 04, 2005 6:12 pm

I currently have a motor and the tools and access to the material to build a boat i just cant find ANYONE that carries a PLAIN JANE boat

Ideally I am looking for a 16-18 ft flat bottom with NOTHING in it, no seats no anything. Just a floor..
so any ideas on where i could begin to look would be greatly appreciated.

Your local paper in the classifieds might have one. Post up a WTB in the classifieds here and look online.

The best place you can look would be your local paper's classifieds. I know around here you can normally find an older boat for a good price. You could buy one with seats, cut them out and then add an extra rib or two to strengthen the hull.

Another option is contacting a company that will build you a custom boat the exact way you want it. Try doing a search on Yahoo.

Bass pro down the street from my house has simple aluminum boats 10-14 feet long. 10ft = $416, 12ft = $469 14ft about $600?
