bufflehead

Postby sc_countryboy26 » Mon Dec 12, 2005 8:35 pm

I killed a bufflehead last year and got him mounted and the guy that done it did a real bad job. So this year I am gonna try to get another one. I was woundering what would be a good way to mount one to really show off there colors. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Standing looks great, BUT you have to find a taxidermist that really knows his ducks and their natural postures. Divers have little legs far back on the body and if someone that doesn't know how to make them look right mounts the duck, well then it's just crap. Good luck.
