good pose for a black duck

lookin for a good pose for a black duck, hopin to shoot one next year and want to get it mounted, what do you guys think, figure ive shot mallards before and a black is supposed to be the hardest puddler to hunt wanna do him justice, thanks

Not bein a jerk but gotta get em first!With a black I'd go perched/preening show the speculum off, maybe a leg up, wings pulled back a little

:withstupid: kinda countin your eggs before they hatch. Ive been hunting ducks for around 13 years and have never shot a black. Although your odds may be better due to your location. Hope you get one though and I would get it preenin for sure.
If they're dumb enough to be lured in by plastic you're really just doing them a favor.

Know your target before you pull the trigger.

Smackaduck if it makes you feel better we have several days throughout the year where we shoot our 1 black each and will have 20 more land in the spread, happens all to often here, heck I even shot one out of my layout this year :getdown:

I'm with ISD on the pose. Thats the only pose I like black ducks in.

I shot a couple in the ninty's in Wi. They are few and far between, but then here are those days when its all you will see.
Have you ever woke up one day and said. Damn when does the season start.
