is it possible to mount a stickleback

Postby magswonnowt » Tue May 09, 2006 3:36 am

i'm not very good at angling, but the other day i caught a stickleback in mowbray park. my mam is dead proud of me and thinks i should stuff it or mount it. would this be too hard for a novice? :welcome:

no, she never, but she thinks its about time i mounted something, to get me out from under her feet. how hard does it have to be before its clased as a stiff task?

I suggest freeze-drying the little bugger. We have a guy here (near Chicago) that can freeze-dry any spiny fish we come across. he's done alot of aquarium style fish, Mudpuppies, Iguanas, Salamanders, etc. with great results!

Isnt that a minnow?

Why would you want to mount a minnow?
The group ended up with 420 birds.

1187,

That's what I'm talking about. 12 minnows, one baby Bullehead, a Dace, and a couple Sticklebacks. I heard from an Old-Timer that the stickleback is a secret Northern Pike bait.
