I love lurking on the taxidermy forum, always a steady flow of amazing work you guys are posting up but this takes the cake. What a wonderful idea and way to remember your dad while celebrating your son. Very cool :thumbsup:

One of the greatest ideas Ive seen yet. Aside from that, your taxidermist did an excellent job on the ringer. Your dad also done a great job on that gunning decoy. :clapping:

Thank u Captain Obvious for letting me know what kind of decoy that is. If u knew anything about carved decoys, u would know what I meant about a gunning decoy. U going to eventually have to get over my critique of your mallard mount. It's not healthy to stay mad like that. :crying:

Great story and great mount. As water fowlers we're lucky to be able to pass on the legacy of hunting and the memories that come with it. Imagine life for those that aren't as fortunate as us. Your son will treasure that mount.

Thanks again guys for all the kind words. I should have the special display case soon and will post abother picture once its under glass. Every time I look at it I see my dad and feel so close to him. Add my son being home from college for the summer and life is real good right now......

Have you gotten the display case back yet? I'd love to see some pictures of it.
