My Hybrid and Barrows done by Birdman Studios

Postby JMac202 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 7:30 pm

I had Todd mount my two birds and these are the finished photos. Hope to have them next week. Bein in Kansas Barrows aren't very common in my area so I had to mount it and luckily it only took one or two pellets when it was shot. My father shot the Brewers and is now his fathers day presant. The Brewers was the first hybrid I'd seen so obviously it had to go on the wall.

That is exactly what Barrows look like when they are about to get a face full of 3's :grooving:

A Brewers is on my "to do" list...cool looking hybrid

Great work for the wall of memories.

Nice choice of pose for the Barrow's, and to me all hybrids are cool.

Never heard of a brewers either... But if I had to guess, I would say mallard, gad and widgeon

It's a mallard x gadwall.

Gotcha.... I'm still pondering where the green speculum and silver tertial feather came from? Kinda has a green band like a wigeon would have as well as a black throat found on really mature euro and amer widgeon drakes. Not arguing just reading into all of the anatomy.
