Mountable animals?

Postby Geauxtigers1421 » Mon Oct 29, 2012 9:31 pm

I've been wanting to get something mounted for quite some time now and decided this year would hopefully be the year. Although I'd love to, I doubt ill be shooting any pintails or greenheads at the WMA I hunt so it'll probably be teal or hopefully a wood duck or something. What should I look for when deciding on mounting a bird and what preparations should be taken?
Thanks for any help!

This covers a lot of what you are asking. Late season birds generally have the best plumage.
Helping waterfowl make bad decisions since 1961.
