Twitchell Island Goose Hunt

Postby Drakestacker » Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:22 pm

I was lucky and got drawn for the Twitchell Island hunt. To be honest I did not plan on shooting any geese. It started out slow but picked up and there were Specks flying all day. Neither my friend or myself have killed a goose before. We both ended the day with one a piece but we should have had at least one more a piece. We probably saw 6 to 7 thousand birds. Lots of snows but they were not working the fields. We were in blind 11a but the birds wanted to be in blind 12. It was awesome just sitting there watching the birds work.
