Another first on the last

Postby Grahmcracker31 » Sun Jan 27, 2013 2:36 pm

Today i took my dad and best friend with me to finish up duck season. Although it was alot slower then we wanted and they didnt get much action it ended up pretty special. I walked out to moves some decoys and before walking back i stopped and looked around for a minute. As i turned towards them i looked and a duck was literally falling right on top of them of course they were oblivious and i was the only one with a gun in my hands. As soon as i shot i knew what it was. My last duck of the season was my first bufflehead and he is going on the wall. Ive never seen one killed before being that i hunt in arkansas and the only thing that would have made it better is if my dad would have killed it but oh well the guy with the gun gets the bird i guess. I use birdman studios for all of my references for mounts but if anyone has nice mounts of buffleheads they care to share im open for ideas. Thanks

I also shot my first ever buffie on closing day and he is also going on the wall! Should be done in may. Can't wait!
