Wasn't expecting that...I don't think this was what the OP had in mind.

I had this Widgeon done last year. I told the taxidermist i wanted a preening pose, and he came up with the crab pot buoy idea. I like it. Definitely different.

Image

And this Blue wing Teal i had done the year before. Shot him down in south FL.

Image

I have a Bufflehead, Bluebill and a Redhead that are going to the taxidermist from this season that is going to start a diver deadmount. Hope to add a few more to it in the next couple seasons.

Man that widegeon is awesome! The buoy idea is cool. A drake widgeon is numero uno on my hitlist right now. here are a few of mine i have two more in the taxidermist. Mine arent the best quality so any duck i get professionally done will go to Mr. Todd Huffman. I have 13 other ducks in the freezer to try and do myself. :grooving:

Yes sir... I guess they killed one out at Yolo and Sac this year And I'm sure they killed a lot more down in the grasslands. I just hope it's a matter of time before one flys in front of my barrell . our barrels

Here is my wigeon. It was my second duck and my only wigeon in 3 seasons so far

A BWT pair I got last season. The lighting is bad but the drake was amazing.

Here he is the day of

Finally my shoveler. He was not fully mature and had some pin feathers but last season I wanted a drake from day one. Last hunt of the season he cupped up in front of me for the last time. The good thing about having him mounted is 99% of the people who see it have no idea if he is mature or not.
