Oregon/Washington Taxidermist Needed

Postby Swamp Puppy » Tue Dec 21, 2004 11:12 pm

i am looking for a Taxidermist in the Portland, Oregon area that might be willing to hook a fellow waterfowler up with a favor. ie: slight discount.

reason: well, i wasn't planning on mounting a bird this year. new house and new baby on the way..it just wasn't in the budget. that is, until i shot a Eurasion Widgeon. A big fully colored up SOB. it's has to go on the wall...i have no choice.

so, anyone have any recommendations?

thanks,

Swamp Puppy,
Freeze it. You can tuck It''s head under it's wing, put it in a freezer-bag or two, and it should be good until you find someone in your area, or you find the funds to get it done. I may suggest not going for the discounted rate, because that can come with "discounted" quality. Your bird will be good for at least 2 or 3 years. Congratulations on your specimen! Wings cupped, Pete
