Bird ID please?

Bird ID please?

Shot these ducks today. My best guess is juvenile hen paradise shelducks, native to New Zealand. These were shot in the Puget Sound of WA. If they are what I suspect they are I wonder if they are aviary escapees.

No idea, but those are some cool looking birds! Getting mounted?
Why do I shoot 3.5" for geese? Because they don't make a 4" yet!

Their Ruddy Shelducks, captive or not, definitely a mount worthy bird!

Whoah! I googled those things and that ID is spot on but Wikipedia shows them as native to INDIA! Those birds are a long ways from home. Definitely mount them!
