Gadwall worth mounting???

Postby Glades hunter » Tue Jan 14, 2014 6:04 am

[attachment=0]ImageUploadedByTapatalk1389700775.397328.jpg[/ attachment] Shot my first gadwall last week and was wondering if this was worth getting mounted. What position should I get it in? We don't get many gadwalls in south florida.

That is a nice mature drake you have there. Good white and brown wing patches along with bright gold shoulder feathers all will make for a great mount.

I was told you could tell that gadwalls are mature by how big the patch of red/orange they have on their wings. Looks like a mounter to me!

I would suggest maybe one that is flushing. That way you can see all of the colors on the wings.

Take it from a guy who kills a TON of Gadwalls. That's a good one for sure. I'll be sending this one to Birdman very soon

Just his normal rate that is listed on his website which I think is very reasonable for the awesome quality of work he does.

Taken from a guy that kills 2 tons of Grey Ducks :lol3: , the one you have is a nice one and should be on your wall.
