Oldsquaw

Postby Einstein » Fri Jan 24, 2014 7:18 pm

Killed an oldsquaw hen. Once in 10 lifetime opportunities considering where I live. Anyone have any mounts/pictures? I particularly am interested in a flying/banking mount.

In my opinion, copying a taxidermist's idea is a step backwards. I agree there are fine taxidermists, but they will most certainly have flaws comparing a side by side picture of a live bird to a mounted bird. Use google, and type in "banking long-tailed duck", or "flying long-tailed duck". See what you get? I suggest the new name for the duck (long-tailed), because it doesn't recognize old squaw like it used to.

I used bing, perhaps google will have an even larger variety?

Just my opinion.
