Ideas about a Woodduck/Bufflehead Mount? Pics?

Postby njonesy_07 » Sun Jan 27, 2008 8:12 pm

I have a nice wood duck drake and bufflehead drake and am getting them mounted. On the wood duck, I am thinking about it standing on a log or just a plaque. Maybe resting (not sleeping) but I was thinking kinda looking around (active style I guess, like the dekes). I have no ideas about the buffle head but I don't think it would look too good if it was flying, so probably like the woodie, but I would like to hear what you guys have to say and pictures of your wood duck/bufflehead drake mounts would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen the Woodie mount looking out from the nest through a big hole in the tree. Awesome mount!

The one I saw was the hen looking out with the drake standing just outside looking down at the hen. Looked real nice.

Do the Buffle cupped for landing. That ought to look pretty good.
