New to Taxidermy!

Postby Adjhunt » Sun Feb 17, 2008 1:53 am

Hey Guys!
I've been wanting to get into taxi for awhile and finally am going to start. I only want to do production taxidermy and not show. Which means I want to keep costs down and use the original head and stuff. I've had 3 mounts done for me and the guy who did them said I could come watch him and video it all which is what I really want to do, but we lives a couple hours away so I'm going to need to set up a time. What kind of tools am I going to need? and also I want to carve my own bodies, so is there a certain type of styrofoam? or can I just find any random stuff? The mounts I had done were $25 bucks each, and one was $20 bucks. I'm just starting and have no equipment, so I'm open to any suggestions!

Here are the mounts I had done for $25
