In the off season

Postby firebird » Thu Jul 28, 2005 5:49 pm

Most of us are getting the itch to hunt something, anything about now. May I casually suggest that now is a great time to do some taxidermist scouting? Use the summer months to dig around the yellow pages or the internet and get some addresses where you need to go see someones work. Then this fall when you clobber that trophy whatever, you already know where to go because back in July or August you did your price, time and quality comparisons. One more suggestion, every duck hunter in the World should have at least one pair of well mounted mallards and a Canada goose in their house!
There is no help for this kind of insanity. I'm just a duck hunter, and should not be held accountable for all my actions between October 1st and freeze-up. Gordon MacQuarrie

True, and true, but don't stop at just the Mallards and the geese. I think the entire North American waterfowl collection is a start. Then we'll talk about Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. I HAVE A SICK ADDICTION!!!
