Ross's Goose mount

Postby huntmq1 » Tue Sep 06, 2005 10:44 pm

Well here it is. I got this bird last year. He came into a set up of mallard dekes. I actaully got two and now wish I would of kept the other one as well. My friend did the grunt work of mounting the bird and I did the painting and the base. The legs look much darker in the photos than they actually are. The base is a snowy winter wheat field made of rough cut cedar. We did this for his display/table for our DU chapter banquet in a few weeks. I'll post up more pics of the ducks we're taking.

Hey, did you grab the blind bag with the shells when we left the truck?
Safetys, use them: If you can see red, you can get dead!

Very nice looking mount. I've never shot a Snow, and would love a Ross' Goose!
